Animals Can Be So Weird

Animals bring so much joy to people, from their comical antics to their friendship. Animals are truly man’s best friend. Animals can mostly be summed up with one sentence; Animals can be so weird! Anyone who has a pet or has ever seen an animal knows that animals are almost always doing something weird. Entire shows have been dedicated to funny animals. Here are some stories about weird animals.

There was a case in Wellington, New Zealand where a cat named Maurice was caught stealing peoples’ underwear. In 1996, he brought sixty pairs of men’s and women’s underwear home. When the owner found all the undies she washed and folded all of them. The owners of the undies never came to claim their clothing.

In Mississippi in 1996, a five-year-old boy got down on his hands and knees, got nose-to-nose with a turtle, and stuck his tongue out. The turtle, who was apparently insulted, bit the boy’s tongue and would not let go. Another boy had to call 911 to get the turtle off. After that the boy swore he would never stick his tongue out at another thing again.

A dog in England had accidentally called the cops. While the owners of the dog were away, the dog got a phone in its mouth and started to chew on it. While the dog was chewing he accidently dialed an emergency police number. The operator heard heavy breathing and barking on the other end. The operator, thinking someone was hurt, alerted the police. The police soon arrived at the house. The door was locked so they forced the door open. Seeing the dog sitting in the corner with the phone, they announced the case was closed.

A store owner saw a hungry dog sitting outside of his store. Pitying the dog he let him in and gave him some food. The dog saw a bag of dog bones, grabbed them in his mouth, and took them out of the store. One of the awe struck customers called the police. They arrested the dog and released him when they learned the dog was lost and not a four legged robber.
